I've used it on nearly every client since I bought it.I don't use it alone on a whole head though. It makes the hair too uniform for my liking. I prefer it to the mermaid barrel because the wave shape is more varied. I always personalise the front and top layers by hand so it doesn't look too perfect.I've made you a little video of me using it.

The triple barrel: GHD wave triple barrel hair waver
I prefer this to every other triple barrel I’ve tried. I love this because it is less regular in its wave. I use it in through the hair by feel and personalise the top later. This is great for speed when working on set or clients.
The iron: a 32mm Hot Tools curling iron
This is my go-to for cool girl waves and curls that holds. The 32mm barrel gives me a size that works for this look.
The iron: Cloud Nine The Original Iron
I love this iron. It's heat adjustable, so I can dial it in for whatever the hair needs. The size is perfect for personalising the hairline, which makes a real difference to how finished a style looks.
Heat protection: KMS Thermashape 2-in-1 spray
I never style without heat protection first. This spray does double duty, protecting the hair while helping shape and hold the style as I work. This is a dry spray, most heat protectors wet the hair and need to be dried in.
This is my last step. It knocks out any frizz and adds shine and hold without weighing the hair down. It's what makes a style look finished rather than fresh and fluffy. Start with a small amount and less is more on fine hair.
